졸업페스티벌을 준비하면서, 자축의 의미로 또 오프닝밴드를 만들었어.
이번엔 그 사람이 키보드를 맡았지.
기억이 아련하지만, 변두리 어느 아파트에 연습실이 있었다.
음악하는 사람의 집이었는데 방안에 악기들이 세팅되어 있었고,
시간당 얼마.. 그렇게 해서 서너번 연습을 하러갔었어.
선택한 곡은 'Sea of Heartbreak' ..
왜 그때, 이 노래를 선택했던지는 알수가 없어.

'항구의 불빛은 더 이상 나를 비추지 않고
난 바다위를 표류하는 난파선 같아.
당신과 따뜻한 포옹.. 행복했던 멋진 기억들..

눈을 지긋이 감은 채, 진땀 가득한 얼굴로
기타치면서 노래하는 나.
입술을 꼭 오무린채 악보를 보며 키보드를 누르고 있는 그 사람.
앨범에 꽂혀있는 사진 속의 모습이다.
​
"내 슬픈 예감은 틀린 적이 없나.." ,
정말.. 이 노랫말에서 자유롭지 못한 나..

평소 TV는 거의 안 보지만 브라운관을 통해 누리는 호사중에,
감정대입을 통한 희노애락만한게 있을까.
더욱이 사랑모드에 관한 한, 드라마.. 리얼 버라이어티는 
소시민이 즐길 수 있는 최고의 사치이다.
특히, 가상의 결혼..
가상이라는 대못같은 전제가 있음에도
두 사람이 전개하는 엄연한 드라마에 가슴이 동하기도 한다.
별로였던 스타가 점점 급호감으로 다가오고,
브라운관에 비치는 그들의 일상이 어느덧 내 삶처럼 치환되기도 해.
거기다.. 주인공이 그 사람을 쏙 빼닮기라도 했다치면,
그건 뭐.. 일상의 굴레에서 해탈(?)할 수 있는 최고의 시간이되지,
물론 방송이 끝나면 유리구두를 벗어야 하지만 말야.
어느 중견PD의 얘기처럼, '드라마는
우리가 현실에서 이룰 수 없는 걸 실현하는 것' 이라는데
그렇게라도 그 사람을 느낄 수 있다는게 어디야.
 
오늘도 브라운관에는 수많은 Dream Lover 들이..
